About the Role:

We are seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer to support operations across our deployment and infrastructure workflows. This will be a hands-on role to ensure our CI/CD pipelines are robust and reliable. This role will support both new and existing installations with a focus on performance, scalability, and uptime.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Support the DevOps team to ensure deployment pipelines are working correctly and available. 
  • Design, build and maintain multi-stage CI/CD Pipelines (gated builds, targeted tests, code-quality & security scans, safe release automation). 
  • Automate repeatable deployment tasks and workflows. 
  • Deploy and manage product installations within HCL ecosystems, as well as deployed within customer ecosystems. 
  • Contribute to our monitoring and alerting infrastructure. 
  • Contribute to our product ecosystem and infrastructure, especially within our infrastructure-as-code resources. 
  • Support and work with the global HCL teams to ensure standards are aligned and followed. 
  • Participate in On-Call schedule to provide timely support for our production client environments. 
  • Leverage approved AI tools to accelerate diagnostics, documentation, and repetitive tasks. 
  • Collaborate in reviews of work with others as appropriate. 

Skills and Experience

  • Azure DevOps and Azure Resources
  • YAML, SQL, Scripting Languages (e.g. PowerShell / Shell / Python)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly desirable if you have familiarity with hospital source systems such as EMR or PAS (for example Cerner, Oracle Health, InterSystems, iPM or ieMR)

This is a remote role, but will require some in office hours from time to time as required to meet the requirements of the role, this will usually be on the Gold Coast or Brisbane location.
