As a Wait Staff team member, you will be the face of our venue, delivering friendly, efficient, and professional service to every guest. Working in a fast-paced hospitality environment, you will take food and beverage orders, serve meals and drinks, maintain a clean and welcoming dining area, and ensure every customer enjoys an exceptional experience. You will work closely with the kitchen and front of house team to provide seamless service while upholding our standards of quality, presentation, and hospitality.
Duties:
- Deliver friendly, professional, and efficient customer service.
- Welcome and seat guests in a warm and engaging manner.
- Present menus and answer questions about food and beverages including suggestive selling
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system.
- Serve meals and beverages promptly and to company standards.
- Monitor tables and respond promptly to guest requests.
- Clear, clean, and reset tables throughout service.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of dining areas and service stations.
- Process cash, EFTPOS, and other customer payments accurately.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Adhere to Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) requirements where applicable.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front of house team members.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve minor issues professionally.
- Assist with restocking beverages, condiments, crockery, and service supplies.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and promotions.
- Comply with all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies and procedures.
- Perform other reasonable duties as directed by management.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role is preferred.
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate.
- Food Safety Certificate
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service focus with a positive and friendly attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and time management skills.
- Well-presented with a professional appearance.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
