Role Overview:

In this role you will be responsible for the day to day operations of the business including but not limited to barista duties, food preparation, and general duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Opening and closing the café/wine bar
  • Barista duties – Making a range of drinks, adjusting grinder when necessary, milk rotation
  • Food Handling – Keeping in line with food safety standards, preparing food as needed including use of commercial cooking equipment
  • Cash handling

Skills & Qualifications Required:

  • Food Safety Certificate— essential before first shift.
  • First Aid + CPR — desirable.
  • Barista certificate or specialty-coffee qualification — desirable.
  • Strong specialty-coffee skills.
  • Calm at pace; comfortable with peak service.
  • Reliable, punctual, presentation focused.
  • Working knowledge of coffee equipment and basic troubleshooting.
  • Minimum 6-12 months coffee bar experience.
  • Specialty coffee training preferred; in-house dial-in training provided.
  • Able to work unsupervised
  • Current RSA
  • Own transport
  • Previous experience with commercial kitchen equipment highly regarded
