Events Assistant

Hartley Lifecare (Hartley) is a Canberra-based not-for-profit organisation providing Supported Independent Living (SIL), Short Term Accommodation or respite care (STA) to people with disability in Canberra. We also operate Hartley Hydro – an all abilities accessible heated pool, which operates 5 days per week at a temperature of 340C.

Hartley Lifecare have a unique entry level opportunity for an enthusiastic Events Assistant to assist in executing a diverse range of events. This role requires a proactive individual with a talent for meticulous planning, stakeholder engagement, and fostering community relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Events and Markets Manager to deliver Hartley’s signature events

• Assist the Events and Markets Manager to manage the fundraising and marketing storeroom(s).

• Provide general administration support to the Fundraising and Marketing team

Requirements:

• Experience in community/non-profit sector

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• An excellent people person

• Must have good physical fitness

• Valid Australian driver’s licence, First Aid Certificate, and WWVP card.
