The Infrastructure Delivery team, within which this position is located, are focused on providing complete infrastructure delivery services to include, program and project management, quality assurance, construction management and contract administration to manage projects throughout development, delivery, maintenance and operations for both public and private sector infrastructure projects.

About the role

We are looking for Project Managers and Engineers with Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR) experience to join our team. Locations of the projects vary between Far North Queensland, Central and South East Queensland. The roles are targeted towards qualified engineers with extensive project management experience in the areas relating to planning, design and construction phases of complex road infrastructure projects.

• Ensure the products, services or deliverables are produced to the required quality standard.
• Ensure the time (schedule) and cost (budget) constraints of the project are achieved.
• Provide leadership, direction and motivation to the project team.
• Liaise with the Program Management Office, stakeholders, technical disciplines, and senior management as required.
• Integrate the nine project management knowledge areas according to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills

Key qualifications, experience and skills

• Minimum 5 years project management experience on road infrastructure projects
• Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification
• Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ)
• TMR project management pre-qualifications
• Demonstrated experience in managing projects to Transport and Main Roads’ policies, standards and specifications is desirable however not essential
