About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking and experienced Painter to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paints and coatings, maintaining a high standard of workmanship, and ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, patching and filling.
• Apply paints, stains, varnishes and protective coatings to internal and external surfaces.
• Mask, cover and protect surrounding areas before commencing work.
• Operate and maintain painting equipment, including spray guns, ladders, scaffolding and elevated work platforms.
• Complete all work to company quality standards and client expectations.
• Read and interpret plans, specifications and work orders.
• Maintain a clean and safe worksite at all times.
• Follow all Workplace Health & Safety requirements, SWMS and company procedures.
• Accurately complete timesheets, job records and daily reports.
• Communicate professionally with clients, supervisors and team members.
• Assist with material handling, site setup and pack-down.

Skills & Experience

• Trade qualification in Painting and Decorating (preferred).
• Previous residential and/or commercial painting experience.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently.
• Experience with airless spraying and specialty coatings is advantageous.

Essential Requirements

• Current Driver’s Licence.
• Construction White Card.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work.
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
• Reliable transport to and from work.
