Boilermaker/Welder

Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Boilermaker/Welder to join our team in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. This permanent, full-time position is essential for maintaining and fabricating metal structures and components within the mining industry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our operations, contributing to the overall success of our projects.

Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently carry out scheduled repairs of plant and equipment.
• Effectively perform routine boiler-making repairs on equipment, assisting in determining what repairs are required.
• Prioritise and complete unplanned maintenance tasks as required.
• Accurately prepare, weld, install, modify or remove steel components per applicable drawings, codes and other requirements.
• Read and interpret detailed drawings.
• Ensure equipment and tools are well maintained.
• Record clearly details of work completed.

Qualifications:

• Trade qualification in Boilermaking and/or Welding.
• Proven experience in a similar role within the mining or heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques and metal fabrication processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Current Australian driver’s licence.
• Experience maintaining a wide range of earth moving equipment such as Caterpillar, Komatsu etc;
• Willingness to undertake and clear a full Medical & drug & alcohol fitness assessment, including a Fitness assessment;
