ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a hands-on, high-impact remote role responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering network and infrastructure projects across our Australian operations, with a focus on scalable, secure and standardised technology outcomes across parks, offices and business units.
As our IT Infrastructure Delivery Lead, you’ll bridge technical delivery, site readiness, vendor coordination and business engagement. You’ll translate operational requirements into practical infrastructure solutions, manage scope, schedules, risks, dependencies, handover and documentation, and ensure delivered solutions are supportable by the broader IT function.
Key delivery areas include site onboarding and settlement readiness, LAN/WAN and Wi-Fi uplift, routing and switching, internet and carrier services, VOIP, CCTV connectivity, infrastructure refreshes, asset and configuration uplift, and continuous improvement of network and infrastructure standards.
This is an individual contributor role that leads infrastructure delivery through technical expertise, project coordination and matrix leadership across internal teams and vendors. It is not a people leadership role.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Lead assigned network and infrastructure projects from discovery and scoping through planning, implementation, testing, handover and closure.
- Define scope, objectives, deliverables, assumptions, dependencies, acceptance criteria and success measures with business stakeholders, IT leadership, technical teams and vendors.
- Develop and maintain delivery plans, schedules, RAID logs, cutover plans, implementation checklists, communication plans and post-implementation reviews.
- Plan and coordinate infrastructure due diligence, discovery, remediation and transition activities for new site acquisitions and operational changes.
- Conduct site infrastructure audits, document risks and constraints, and convert findings into prioritised delivery plans.
- Coordinate settlement readiness to ensure connectivity, network services, telephony, CCTV dependencies, user access and business-critical systems are operational at go-live.
- Coordinate the design, deployment, refresh and remediation of site infrastructure including LAN/WAN, routing, switching, Wi-Fi, point-to-point links, internet services, structured cabling, edge devices, VOIP connectivity and CCTV network dependencies.
- Coordinate vendors, carriers, cablers, CCTV providers, telephony providers and infrastructure contractors to deliver agreed outcomes in line with HPG standards.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership during implementations, cutovers and transition activities, including troubleshooting issues that directly impact successful delivery.
- Maintain accurate project, asset and configuration documentation, including site diagrams, IP allocations, device inventories, implementation notes, handover packs and operational runbooks.
- Apply a security-first approach to infrastructure activities and escalate infrastructure risks, security gaps, unsupported equipment, unmanaged services and configuration drift.
- Communicate project impacts, planned outages, readiness requirements, risks, decisions and next steps in a concise and timely manner.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Proven experience delivering or coordinating network and infrastructure projects in a professional, multi-site environment.
- Strong practical experience with LAN/WAN, routing, switching, Wi-Fi, internet/carrier services, network troubleshooting and infrastructure implementation.
- Experience with site onboarding, infrastructure audits, cutovers, remediation planning or operational readiness activities.
- Experience coordinating vendors, carriers, cablers, contractors and technical delivery partners.
- Experience with VOIP/telephony, CCTV network dependencies, printers/MFDs and site-based technology infrastructure.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID / Azure Active Directory, Windows endpoint environments, Teams, SharePoint and common business productivity platforms.
- Ability to produce and maintain clear documentation, including project plans, implementation checklists, network notes, asset records, handover packs and support runbooks.
- Strong understanding of IT change control, risk management, security principles and operational support handover.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Effective time management, prioritisation and follow-through across multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Willingness and ability to travel interstate and regionally as required.
Desirable experience or exposure includes project delivery certification or training such as PRINCE2, PMP, Agile or ITIL; technologies such as MikroTik, Cambium, Ubiquiti, Ruckus, Microsoft Azure, Intune and network monitoring platforms; structured cabling, fibre, point-to-point/point-to-multipoint wireless links, SD-WAN, firewalling, VPN, segmentation, Power Platform, automation, Copilot or AI productivity tools.
