Grounds & Maintenance Officer- Valla Beach Holiday Park

We are currently looking for an experienced Grounds & Maintenance Officer to join our friendly team on a casual basis.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining the presentation, safety and functionality of the Parks grounds, communal areas and facilities.

Working closely with the Park Manager, you will assist with the day-to-day upkeep of the park to ensure our guests enjoy a clean, safe and well-presented environment.

The role involves physically demanding work, including regular manual handling and lifting, along with the safe and competent use of power tools and maintenance equipment.

After-hours emergency duties maybe required

 Your responsibilities will include:

• General grounds maintenance including mowing, edging, hedging and landscaping
• Maintaining gardens, lawns and communal outdoor areas
• Operating grounds and maintenance equipment safely and effectively
• Upkeep of the park’s facilities and common areas
• Assisting with minor repairs and general maintenance tasks
• Identifying and reporting maintenance or safety issues to the Park Manager
• Maintaining a clean, safe and well-presented environment
• Supporting the wider team with general property upkeep as required

 ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys maintaining outdoor spaces to a high standard.

The successful applicant will possess:

Previous experience in grounds, gardening or property maintenance preferred

• Current Australian Driver’s Licence
• Ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, carrying and repetitive physical activities
• Confidence safely operating power tools and maintenance equipment
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining presentation standards
• A reliable, proactive and safety-focused approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A friendly and respectful manner when working within a residential community

You will be competent in the use of equipment such as:

• Ride-on mowers
• Hedge trimmers
• Whipper snippers
• Chainsaws
• High-powered hand tools

REMUNERATION

The rate of pay for this role will be in accordance with the Hospitality General Award.
