About the Role

We are seeking for a Solution Architect to join our Adelaide team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing key design and technical support to our delivery teams to meet current and future business needs.  You will be required to ensure all solutions, in-house or 3rd party, align to our emerging technologies vision, architecture principles and HAMBS strategy.

Responsibilities

• Create conceptual, high- and low-level designs to meet business requirements and strategic goals.
• Prepare tailored presentations to different stakeholder groups to articulate designs and concepts.
• Lead the development of solution architectures in specific business, infrastructure or functional areas.
• Participate in architecture governance meetings and assist others in creating designs and artifacts that align with HAMBS architecture principles and target state vision.
• Contribute to the HAMBS architecture repository which includes reference architectures, standards, processes and registers.
• Assist developers in incorporating broader architecture patterns and concerns into their work e.g. abstraction, decoupling, distributed transactions etc.
• Contribute to a library of non-functional requirements and assist business analysts in selecting appropriate NFRs for a given project.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design cloud-based and on-premises solutions, including selecting the appropriate technology services, designing architecture, and ensuring scalability, availability, and security.
• Support the development and implement hybrid cloud governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure that cloud resources are used in compliance with industry regulations and organisational guidelines.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ experience as a Solution Architect in a complex technology environment with a solid blend of technology and business skillsets.
• Has established a broad and deep business knowledge including the activities and practices at an organisational level coupled with a broad knowledge of industry suppliers, partners, competitors, and clients.
• Strong understanding of modern architecture patterns.
• Strong understanding of modern software development standards as well as best practices, design principles, and techniques.
• Understanding of architecture and modelling tools.
• Significant knowledge and experience designing and developing Integration Architectures.
• Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to clearly articulate and successfully deliver messages to a variety of audiences.
• Strong team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate technical data and information for non-technical audiences.
• Experience using Enterprise Architecture Frameworks for roadmap development.
• Practical experience working with Agile methodologies like Scrum.
• Knowledge of how to effectively leverage Azure IASS, PASS and SAAS platforms and services.(Desirable)
• Knowledge of how to effectively leverage AWS IASS, PASS and SAAS platforms and services.(Desirable)
• Knowledge of how to build multi-cloud composable architectures.(Desirable)
• Experience with Microsoft APIM.(Desirable)
• Experience working with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).(Desirable)
