About the Role

We are seeking for a Product and Platform Delivery Manager to join our Adelaide team. This role is accountable for ensuring the teams responsible for HAMBS’ customer products and supporting platforms deliver effectively, operate with clear end-to-end ownership and maintain a relentless focus on increasing velocity, quality, efficiency and predictability.

Responsibilities

• Own the delivery of the product roadmap agreed with Product and Portfolio Management.
• Own delivery across HAMBS’ Product Domain teams and ensure products are owned end-to-end with minimal unnecessary hand-offs.
• Establish and maintain persistent, stream-aligned product teams rather than relying on temporary project structures for ongoing product delivery.
• Ensure each team has, or can access, the cross-functional capability required to build, run and continuously improve its product.
• Own delivery of the Hippo product on the same persistent, stream-aligned basis as other HAMBS product teams.
• Preserve the strengths of the Sydney-based Hippo team and appropriate tooling differences where these provide demonstrated value.
• Ensure Hippo operates under HAMBS’ unified Software Development Lifecycle while allowing defined platform-specific variation where justified.
• Lead Funded Delivery as a persistent stream-aligned capability operating within HAMBS’ unified Product and Platform delivery model.
• Preserve the ring-fenced commercial capacity and customer-funded revenue model associated with Funded Delivery.
• Deliver the platform and infrastructure components required by projects, initiatives and technology changes using the architecture, standards and reference designs established by the Platform Practice.
• Produce detailed technical designs for project-specific platform and infrastructure requirements based on approved architecture and standards.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in information technology, computer science, software engineering, business, management or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
• 8+ years of experience in software, product, platform or technology delivery, including at least three years in a significant multi-team leadership or management role.
• Demonstrated experience leading multiple product or software delivery teams and holding accountability for delivery outcomes across those teams.
• Experience managing end-to-end product delivery across build and run rather than managing development as an isolated activity.
• Experience leading cross-functional technology teams spanning development, testing, data, platform and release disciplines.
• Experience operating within and applying a defined Software Development Lifecycle across multiple teams and products.
• Demonstrated ability to manage capacity, priorities, dependencies, resource contention and delivery commitments across a complex multi-team environment.
• Experience using delivery metrics and operational data to manage and increase velocity, quality, efficiency and predictability.
• Experience with CI/CD, release automation and modern deployment practices, with sufficient technical depth to lead Release Management Delivery effectively.
• Experience managing operational readiness and transition of new or changed technology into stable production operation.
• Experience managing budgets, forecasts, resource costs or other financial aspects of technology delivery.
