Description

The HB Group is a local Northern Territory family-owned company and a leading supplier of construction and quarry products in the Northern Territory for over 65 years. We are a company with an excellent reputation for premium service within our industry, recently winning Supplier of the Year at the 2025 Civil Construction Federation Awards.

The HB Quarry is at the heart of the HB Group that has been a Territory institution since 1960. The quarry is located approximately 100kms outside of Darwin along the Arnhem Highway, at Mt Bundy Station. Mining a 200+ year granite supply with the capacity to produce over 1,000,000 tonnes of quarry products per year, consisting of concrete and sealing aggregates, fine crushed rock, quarry sand and marine armour. The crushing and screening circuit is recognised to be the largest and most efficient in the NT.

We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-focused full time Weighbridge / Administration Officer to join our team at the HB Quarry. This role reports directly to the Quarry Manager and is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of administration and operational support in a busy quarry environment.

Key Responsibilities

These include, but will not be limited to:

  • Operating the weighbridge and accurately recording outbound loads
  • General administrative duties including data entry, reporting and record keeping
  • Using Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel for administrative purposes
  • Liaising with drivers, site personnel and management
  • Provide assistance to the Quarry Manager where required
  • Answering incoming calls to the Quarry and redirecting or assisting the caller as appropriate
  • Maintaining and developing effective relationships with customers including first point of contact to resolve any issues or problems
  • Ensuring compliance with site procedures and safety requirements

What We are Looking For

  • Previous experience in the use of iWeigh weighbridge software is highly regarded
  • Competent with Microsoft 365
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills
  • Flexibility to work shift work, including night shift, over the dry season, depending on site demands
  • Ability to work long hours and adaptable to seasonal and operational requirements
