About the Role:
Reporting to the Senior Regional Service Manager, Northern Region, the Regional Service Manager (RSM) is now available due to an exciting internal promotion. The RSM role plays a critical role in enhancing the aftersales performance of the dealer network by driving business improvements and providing expert technical support. This includes visiting dealerships to perform the following:
- Act as the primary point of contact for all service-related issues within the assigned region.
- Collaborate with dealership service teams to develop and implement strategies that improve service quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor dealer service operations and provide feedback, guidance, and support to ensure adherence to GWM policies and standards
- Assess the technical training needs of dealer service teams and coordinate with the national training department to deliver comprehensive programs
- Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) such as First-Time Fix Rate, Warranty Repair Efficiency, Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), and Technician Productivity
- Provide direct support to dealership technicians for technical bulletins, campaign information, complex diagnostics and repair issues.
- Actively engage with dealership service teams to resolve escalated customer complaints and enhance the overall service experience.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience in the automotive industry.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in automotive service management, including at least 3 years in a regional or multi-location role, preferably with an OEM or large dealer group.
- Strong technical background with experience in automotive diagnostics and repair. ASE Master Technician Certification or equivalent is a plus.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and influence dealership service teams to achieve performance targets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from stakeholders.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region
