Description
Financial Analyst
Growthpoint Properties Australia | Melbourne | Permanent full-time
- Join an ASX-listed Australian real estate investment trust
- Partner with senior stakeholders across finance, property and funds management
- Help improve the way financial insights, reporting and planning support business decisions
The opportunity
Growthpoint Properties Australia (ASX: GOZ) is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join its Finance team in Melbourne.
Reporting to the FP&A Leader, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality financial planning, analysis and management reporting across the organisation. Working with stakeholders throughout finance, asset management, property, funds management and corporate functions, you will help turn complex financial information into practical insights that support sound decision-making.
This is a broad FP&A role offering exposure to senior leaders, Board and investor-related reporting, alongside the opportunity to improve the systems, models and processes that underpin financial planning and performance.
What you will be responsible for
In this role, you will:
- Support the annual budgeting, reforecasting and long-range planning processes, including financial modelling, assumptions, stakeholder inputs and consolidation
- Prepare and review monthly management reporting packs, analysis and commentary
- Analyse actual and forecast performance, explain variances and identify key business drivers, risks and opportunities
- Partner with stakeholders across the organisation to support planning, performance discussions and financial decision-making
- Assist with analysis, reporting and presentations for executive, Board and investor-related requirements
- Lead practical improvements to FP&A models, reporting tools, data quality and processes
- Identify opportunities to simplify and automate reporting and improve consistency across the organisation
About you
You are an experienced finance professional who combines strong technical capability with commercial judgement and clear communication skills. You are comfortable working with detailed financial information, but equally capable of stepping back, identifying what matters and explaining it to non-finance stakeholders.
You will have the following
- CA, CPA or an equivalent professional finance qualification
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, commerce, finance, economics or a related discipline
- At least five years’ experience across FP&A, financial analysis, management reporting, budgeting and forecasting
- Strong financial modelling, analytical and commercial skills
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial systems
- Experience improving reporting tools, dashboards or planning models
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
- A curious and improvement-focused mindset, with the confidence to challenge existing processes constructively
Experience within a listed company, property, funds management or A-REIT environment will be highly regarded.
