About the role:

Due to continued growth, we’re looking for an Irrigation Manager to join our growing Yenda Orchard team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a developing orchard and help shape its future success. Working closely with the Orchard Manager, you’ll oversee irrigation and fertigation operations, ensuring systems are safe, efficient and sustainable while supporting the property’s continued development.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the orchard’s irrigation and fertigation systems.
  • Develop and implement irrigation schedules to optimise crop performance and water efficiency.
  • Monitor water quality, water supply and irrigation infrastructure, ensuring systems operate safely and effectively.
  • Oversee the maintenance, servicing and repair of pumps, filters, mainlines, valves and irrigation equipment.
  • Monitor irrigation performance, including pressures, flow rates and system outputs, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
  • Coordinate fertiliser application programs through the fertigation system.
  • Plan inventory requirements to ensure critical irrigation parts and fertiliser are available when needed.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve irrigation efficiency, technology and operating practices.
  • Work closely with the Orchard Manager to deliver production, quality and operational objectives.
  • Represent GO.FARM professionally with contractors, suppliers and external stakeholders.
  • Undertake other duties as required.

  • Experience managing irrigation systems within horticulture, agriculture or a similar production environment.
  • A sound understanding of irrigation scheduling, water management and fertigation systems.
  • A current driver’s licence.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence working with pumps, filters and irrigation infrastructure.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.

  • Base salary between $90,000 – $110,000 per annum
