Description

Glass Outlet is recognized Australia wide as a leader in the wholesale supply of glass, aluminium fencing, balustrading, aluminium screening, shower screens and accessories. Our depot is located at Kilburn.

A full-time position is now available for a motivated Machine Operator to work in our production team.

Commencing immediately and working as part of a friendly team, you will be involved in all general day-to-day warehouse operations including (but not limited to):

  • Ensure all orders and transfers are picked, packed and dispatched efficiently, accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Receive, unload, check and store incoming goods, including local deliveries and imported container stock.
  • Hold and maintain a current forklift licence, as this is an essential requirement of the role.
  • Assist in the Production and Value-Add departments, including glass coating and cutting Breeze Wire orders to size.
  • Operate pneumatic up-cut saws in accordance with required measurements, colours, product types and operating procedures.
  • Select stock efficiently for cutting operations and ensure all required Company documentation is completed accurately.
  • Conduct quality checks and securely wrap completed job lots.
  • Maintain pneumatic up-cut aluminium saws in accordance with the manufacturer’s service manual.
  • Replenish stock and rotate products as required.
  • Assist with coordinating the receipt, dispatch, handling and storage of goods across the warehouse and Cut-to-Size facilities.
  • Perform general warehouse and storeperson duties as required.

To be successful in the role, you should possess the following skills:

• Experience in a warehouse role with sound knowledge of the workings of a goods in/goods out distribution business

• Good communication skills having regard to interaction with warehouse/office staff and customers

• Possess a current forklift license
