Accounts Receivable Officer

Glass Outlet is recognised Australia-wide as a leader in the wholesale supply of glass, aluminium fencing, balustrading, aluminium screening, shower screens and accessories

 

A full-time position is now available for a motivated and experienced Accounts Receivable Officer.

 

Working as part of a supportive and friendly finance team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing daily customer receipts and completing account reconciliations
  • Managing customer accounts and ensuring account information remains accurate and up to date
  • Issuing monthly customer statements
  • Managing new customer account applications in accordance with the company’s credit policies and procedures
  • Providing customers with copies of invoices and statements when requested
  • Managing the Accounts Receivable inbox and maintaining accurate records
  • Following up overdue accounts and working with customers to resolve outstanding balances
  • Negotiating payment arrangements where required
  • Placing accounts on hold and assisting with changes to customer credit limits
  • Providing monthly reports on overdue accounts and payment concerns
  • Completing daily reconciliations for kiosk banking and Square
  • Assisting with month-end processes and providing supporting documentation to auditors
  • Providing backup support for Accounts Payable and fortnightly payroll
  • Supporting the Finance and Leadership teams with other duties as required

 

To be successful in the role, you should possess the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in Accounts Receivable or Credit Control, preferably within a high-volume environment
  • A high level of accuracy and excellent attention to detail
  • Strong account reconciliation, data entry and account-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident phone manner with strong active-listening skills
  • Ability to follow up outstanding accounts professionally and achieve results
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Confidence using accounting systems and Microsoft Office
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
  • At least three years of accounting-related experience is highly desirable
  • An accounting qualification would be viewed favourably but is not essential
