About Glady and Co

Glady and Co is a purpose-driven organisation delivering support to individuals with disabilities and mental health challenges. We provide housing, programs, and inclusive spaces that foster independence, community engagement and wellbeing. Our team is committed to person-centred care, professionalism, and creating safe, welcoming environments for everyone who walks through our doors.

Position Purpose

This role plays a vital role in ensuring that Glady and Co’s properties—including participant housing, office spaces, and community hubs—are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. This role involves travelling between sites, working independently, and taking initiative to address cleaning issues as they arise.

Key Responsibilities

Perform general and deep cleaning tasks across multiple Glady and Co sites, including:

  • Vacuuming, mopping, and sweeping floors
  • Dusting and wiping all surfaces, including desks, benches, skirting boards, and high-touch areas
  • Cleaning kitchens and meal preparation areas (benchtops, sinks, appliances, cupboards, fridges)
  • Cleaning and sanitising bathrooms and toilets, including restocking soap, paper towels and toilet paper
  • Emptying bins and removing waste and recycling
  • Cleaning glass and internal windows, spot-cleaning walls and doors
  • Cleaning outdoor entryways, patios, and verandas as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards to ensure all Glady and Co environments are safe, presentable, and welcoming for participants, staff and visitors
  • Identify and respond to unexpected cleaning issues, such as spills, odours, or urgent messes, in a timely manner
  • Monitor and report maintenance issues (e.g. leaking taps, broken fittings, pest sightings)
  • Follow infection prevention and control procedures, particularly in shared housing or office spaces
  • Safely use, clean and store all cleaning equipment and products, including vacuums, mops, buckets, and appropriate chemicals
  • Maintain cleaning checklists and complete site logs or task reports as required
  • Replenish and manage cleaning supplies and consumables—report low stock or request reorders
  • Liaise respectfully with staff and participants when entering and working within homes, shared spaces, or offices
  • Lock and secure buildings as needed when cleaning after hours or alone on-site

Essential:

  • Demonstrated experience in commercial or domestic cleaning
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean environments
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Problem-solving ability to identify and address cleaning challenges
  • Current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
  • Flexibility to travel between sites during rostered hours
  • Ability to work respectfully in environments supporting people with disability and mental health conditions
  • Current (or willingness to obtain):
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working with Children Check

Desirable:

  • Experience in disability, community housing, or health care environments
  • Knowledge of safe manual handling and chemical use

If you take pride in delivering high-quality work, have a strong eye for detail, and enjoy working independently while contributing to a supportive team, we’d love to hear from you.
