The Role: Specification Manager
Are you a commercially minded relationship builder who enjoys influencing projects from the early design stage?
Do you thrive on building trusted partnerships with architects, designers, specifiers, builders and end users?
As a Specification Manager at Gerflor, you will play a key role in driving specification-led growth across your territory. Working closely with our Segment and Commercial Sales Teams, you will actively identify and pursue new project opportunities, build strong relationships across the commercial building and interiors market, and position Gerflor as the preferred flooring and wall covering solution for key projects.
This is a hands-on, customer-focused role where you will engage with architects, interior designers, specifiers, end users, facility managers, design and construct builders, flooring contractors and other key stakeholders across sectors including Health, Education, Sport, Retail, Housing and Industry.

What You’ll Do
• Manage the end-to-end process of the commercial business plan within your territory
• Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, designers, specifiers, end users, facility managers, design and construct builders, builders and flooring contractors
• Actively identify, influence and convert specification opportunities across key commercial segments including Health, Education, Sport, Retail, Housing and Industry
• Partner with the Segment and Commercial Sales Teams to deliver on key business objectives and project outcomes
• Grow both new and existing flooring contractor and commercial client accounts
• Coordinate sales forecasts to support profit projections and the demand planning process
• Develop quarterly activities and KPIs to guide performance and drive success
• Maintain accurate CRM records to support project tracking, pipeline visibility and sales conversion
• Analyse key market data and competitor activity within your territory to support strategic planning
• Represent Gerflor with confidence, professionalism and strong product knowledge in front of customers, specifiers and industry stakeholders
Who You Are
You are a passionate, driven and commercially focused sales professional with experience in the building, construction, flooring, interiors, architectural products or decorative building materials market. You enjoy building trusted relationships, influencing key stakeholders and turning project opportunities into real business outcomes.
You bring:
• 4+ years’ B2B sales, specification or account management experience in a related industry
• Strong understanding of the commercial building, construction, interiors or flooring market
• Proven ability to build relationships with architects, designers, specifiers, builders, contractors and end users
• A successful track record of maintaining existing relationships while developing new business opportunities
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to deliver concrete sales results
• Experience with CRM systems and MS Office applications
• Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
• Understanding of, or exposure to, a distribution environment
• Strong planning, communication and stakeholder management skills
• A positive, energetic and motivated approach, with a desire to bring ideas and add value
• A valid and unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
• Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency, noting that we are unable to provide visa sponsorship at this time
