About the Role:

Geely Auto Australia is seeking an experienced Dealer Audit & Compliance Manager to lead the development and execution of the company’s dealer audit, compliance and risk management framework across the national dealer network.

This role is responsible for protecting the integrity of dealer operations, ensuring compliance with dealership agreements, company policies, operational standards and program requirements, while minimising financial and operational risk exposure.

The successful candidate will design and manage a comprehensive dealer audit program, conduct operational and financial reviews, oversee warranty and incentive claim audits, identify areas of risk and control weakness, and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives across the dealer network.

As a key governance role within the organisation, this position will work closely with senior management, dealer principals and cross-functional teams to strengthen network compliance, improve control effectiveness and support sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Dealer Audit & Network Compliance

  • Develop, implement and continuously improve the annual dealer audit and compliance program across the national dealer network.
  • Conduct scheduled, risk-based and ad-hoc audits covering dealership operations, sales processes, aftersales operations, parts management, customer programs and financial controls.
  • Assess compliance with dealership agreements, operational standards, franchise obligations, company policies and program requirements.
  • Evaluate dealer internal controls and identify operational inefficiencies, compliance gaps and areas of potential business risk.
  • Monitor dealer adherence to warranty, incentive, goodwill and customer support program requirements.

Warranty, Incentive & Financial Control Audits

  • Conduct audits of warranty claims, goodwill claims, dealer incentive programs, campaign reimbursements and other dealer payments.
  • Verify supporting documentation, eligibility requirements and payment accuracy.
  • Investigate anomalies, irregularities, duplicate claims, overpayments and potential fraudulent activity.
  • Recommend recovery actions and support implementation of controls to minimise future risk exposure.
  • Partner with Finance, Aftersales and Dealer Network teams to improve governance and payment controls.

Risk Management & Governance

  • Identify operational, financial, compliance and reputational risks across the dealer network.
  • Develop risk assessment methodologies and prioritisation frameworks.
  • Analyse audit findings, identify recurring themes and emerging risks, and provide recommendations to management.
  • Support the development and maintenance of dealer governance, compliance and control frameworks.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on dealer compliance and audit matters.

Stakeholder Management & Reporting

  • Prepare professional audit reports, executive summaries and management recommendations.
  • Present audit findings, risk assessments and corrective actions to dealer principals, senior dealership management and internal stakeholders.
  • Influence stakeholders to drive accountability and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Monitor and report on remediation progress and compliance performance metrics.
  • Provide regular reporting and insights to senior leadership on network compliance trends and risk exposure.

Continuous Improvement

  • Develop audit methodologies, compliance monitoring tools and dealer control frameworks.
  • Recommend process improvements to strengthen dealer governance, operational effectiveness and financial controls.
  • Deliver training, coaching and guidance to dealers and internal stakeholders on compliance requirements and best practices.
  • Support policy development and ongoing enhancement of dealer standards and compliance programs.
  • Leverage data analytics and reporting tools to improve audit effectiveness and risk identification.

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years’ experience in audit, compliance, dealer operations, warranty administration, financial controls, risk management or related disciplines.
  • Automotive OEM, dealership, automotive finance or related industry experience.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering audit or compliance programs.
  • Strong understanding of dealer operations across sales, service, parts and customer-facing functions.
  • Experience auditing warranty claims, incentive programs, dealer reimbursements or operational controls.
  • Strong analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret dealership agreements, policies, operational standards and commercial arrangements.
  • Excellent report writing, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive corrective actions.
  • Advanced Excel and reporting capabilities.
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout Australia.

Desirable

  • Qualifications in Internal Audit, Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, Compliance or related disciplines.
  • Experience in fraud investigations, forensic reviews or financial control environments.
  • Knowledge of Australian automotive franchise and dealer network operating models.
  • Experience working with Dealer Management Systems (DMS), warranty systems and data analytics tools.
  • Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, CA, CISA or equivalent.
