Description

Are you an experienced healthcare leader who enjoys being in the action, building strong teams and taking real ownership of clinic performance?

Gro Clinics is looking for a confident and adaptable Multi-Site Practice Manager to lead our Brisbane and Gold Coast clinics. This isn’t a role where you’ll spend your week behind a desk. You’ll be visible in clinic, working closely with our doctors and teams, solving problems as they arise and making sure both locations operate at their best.

We’re looking for someone who can bring together the people, operational and commercial sides of healthcare — someone who is approachable but assertive, calm under pressure and comfortable working with experienced medical professionals.

If you’re a strong Practice or Clinic Manager ready for broader responsibility across multiple locations, this could be your next step.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day performance and operations of our Brisbane and Gold Coast clinics, creating consistency across both locations and championing our One QLD approach.

Typically, you’ll spend Monday to Wednesday in Brisbane and Thursday and Friday on the Gold Coast, however flexibility is important. Clinic and doctor schedules can change, and we’re looking for someone comfortable moving between locations and being where the business needs them most.

This is a genuinely hands-on leadership position. One moment you might be working with a doctor to optimise their clinic schedule, the next coaching a team member, reviewing clinic performance, resolving a client concern or jumping onto reception during a busy period.

You’ll have plenty of autonomy, but you’ll also need to be someone who takes accountability and gets things done.

What You’ll Own

  • Leading the day-to-day operations and performance of our Brisbane and Gold Coast clinics
  • Building strong, professional and collaborative relationships with our doctors and medical teams
  • Leading, coaching and developing clinic teams while maintaining clear expectations and accountability
  • Creating consistency across both QLD locations and ensuring teams work together as one
  • Managing rosters, workforce planning and clinic schedules to maximise doctor utilisation and operational efficiency
  • Being visible and hands-on in clinic, including supporting reception and client-facing operations when required
  • Delivering an exceptional client experience from initial consultation through to procedure and aftercare
  • Monitoring clinic performance, financial processes and P&L outcomes
  • Managing stock, consumables, equipment and general clinic readiness
  • Maintaining high standards across compliance, safety, presentation and clinical operations
  • Identifying problems early, taking ownership and implementing practical solutions
  • Supporting the continued growth and commercial performance of our QLD clinics

About You

We’re looking for more than someone who can simply “run a clinic.”

You’ll be a confident, resilient and solutions-focused leader who can build credibility with different personalities and communicate effectively with both clinical and non-clinical teams.

You’ll know when to listen and collaborate, when to challenge constructively, and when a decision simply needs to be made.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Previous experience as a Practice Manager, Clinic Manager, Area Manager or senior healthcare leader
  • Experience working closely with doctors, surgeons, specialists or other senior clinicians
  • The confidence to manage competing priorities and personalities while maintaining positive professional relationships
  • A leadership style that balances support with accountability
  • The ability to remain calm, pragmatic and solutions-focused when plans change
  • Strong operational and commercial awareness, including experience with budgets, P&L or clinic performance
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A willingness to be hands-on and help wherever needed — no task is “beneath” the Practice Manager
  • The flexibility to work across both Brisbane and the Gold Coast
  • A proactive mindset — you’ll notice what needs doing and take ownership rather than waiting to be asked

Experience in specialist healthcare, surgical clinics, cosmetic medicine or another fast-paced private healthcare environment would be particularly valuable.

Why Gro?

  • Exposure to both operational and commercial healthcare management
  • The opportunity to work alongside experienced medical specialists
