GAP Industries is looking for an experienced and motivated Qualified Electrician to join our growing team.

This is a hands-on role working across a range of commercial and industrial projects. We’re looking for a reliable tradesperson with strong technical skills, excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality electrical work.

GAP Industries delivers Electrical, Communications and Mechanical HVAC services across Southeast and Northern Queensland.

We support clients across the Defence, healthcare, government and construction sectors, including commercial buildings, factories, warehouses and specialised facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete electrical installations, upgrades and repairs
• Install cable, cable supports, switchboards and electrical equipment
• Diagnose electrical faults and complete testing
• Read and interpret electrical plans, drawings and specifications
• Complete commercial and industrial project works
• Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation, standards and safety requirements
• Complete accurate job documentation and testing records
• Communicate professionally with supervisors, clients and other trades
• Provide guidance and support to apprentices when required
• Maintain GAP’s safety, quality and presentation standards

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Electrician
• Current Queensland Electrical Mechanic Licence
• Construction White Card
• Current Australian driver’s licence
• Current CPR and Low Voltage Rescue certification
• Commercial or industrial electrical experience
• Strong installation, testing and fault-finding skills
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, organised and professional
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Flexibility to work additional hours when required

Working at Heights, EWP, First Aid, data cabling or Defence project experience will be highly regarded.
