- Assist in leading, coaching and supporting the packing team to achieve daily production, quality and KPI targets.
- Support the Production Supervisor with the day-to-day coordination of packing operations and perform higher duties in their absence.
- Operate packing machinery and assist with packing activities to ensure produce is packed safely, efficiently and to required quality standards.
- Support the training and development of team members, ensuring they understand packing processes, quality requirements and KPIs.
- Monitor packing equipment, tools and packaging supplies, reporting issues and ensuring requirements are available for daily production.
- Maintain packing hygiene, housekeeping and biosecurity standards across the packhouse.
- Complete daily production records, checklists, FlavorFind tasks, NIS, waste and SOH requirements accurately.
- Identify and respond to operational, quality and team performance issues, escalating where required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve packing efficiency, quality and overall team performance.
- Promote a safe, collaborative and high-performing work environment across the packing team.
- Qualification in Horticulture, Agriculture, Production or a related discipline (desirable).
- Relevant food processing, production or machinery qualifications (desirable).

As the Packing Leading Hand, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our packhouse. Working closely with the Production Supervisor, you will help lead and support the packing team to achieve daily production, quality and KPI requirements. You will also assist with training team members, maintaining safe and efficient packing operations, and driving a positive, high-performing team culture.
