Forman – Industrial Coatings & Sandblasting

We are seeking a Casual Foreman with supervisory experience to join our friendly and welcoming team of painters and sandblasters. Work varies from heavy industrial equipment, fabricated items and repeat work, through to household items, car parts etc.

This is a casual position with potential for a full-time role for the right candidate

Key aspects of this role:

Manage and supervise team of 4 staff

Spray painting and/or sand blasting experience

Plan work schedule to meet lead times and customer deadlines

Manage daily workflow

Adhere to company procedures

Maintain consumables and stock control

Manage equipment maintenance

Quality checking finished product

Unload arriving goods and load dispatched products onto truck

Maintain factory housekeeping

Relief spray painting and blasting

General jobbing work as required

Assisting team with factory duties

Motivate team to deliver quality outcomes

Forklift Ticket would be preferred (or ability to obtain)

The successful applicant:

Demonstrated supervisory experience

Have an eye for detail and take pride in your work

Take ownership and accountability for your team

Reporting to Managing Director and General Manager

Customer service skills

Adhere to Workplace Health & Safety requirements

Be physically fit
