Description

We are a unique day program for adults with a disability with an inclusive and innovative working environment. No two days are the same, each day is different and exciting!

We offer a variety of programs with five streams including life skills, health and wellbeing, creative expression, social (community access) and order fulfilment. Each team has a specialist team leader and lead senior who are experts on the participants in their team and offer ongoing training and support.

We cater for approximately 30 participants per day who are mostly supported 1:1 to engage in tailored programs to suit their needs and goals. You are never working alone and have a big team surrounding you to help build you up!

THE ROLE:

Our support workers are integral to the work we do here at Plus. We are looking for some new additions to our team who have the ability to work at least 3 days on Monday- Friday between 8:45am – 3:15 pm – perfect for someone wanting to work school hours or have time to relax after work!

Key responsibilities:

● Build rapport with our participants

● Support our participants to engage in meaningful activities throughout the day

● Follow positive behaviour support plans

● Personal care, manual handling and mealtime assistance

● Complete relevant reporting in a timely fashion

We are looking for some amazing additions to our team who are:

● Creative and energetic with the confidence to deliver tailored programs to our participants in a meaningful way

● Empathetic with the ability to work in a team environment as well as autonomously

● Possess or be willing to obtain a NDIS Worker Check and WWCC

● Possess or be willing to obtain Provide First Aid & CPR

Must have Green Ps or full licence (NSW) and be over the age of 21

Desired but not essential:

● 2+ years of experience working in the disability sector
