About the Role:
Love creating social content that gets people talking and more importantly, taking action?
We’re looking for a Social Media Specialist – Events to lead the social media strategy and execution for Experience Gold Coast’s exciting portfolio of events and festivals. From driving ticket sales and attendance to building engaged online communities, you’ll create compelling content, monitor performance and optimise campaigns to maximise results.
Working closely with our Marketing, Events and Creative teams, you’ll help bring some of the Gold Coast’s most iconic events to life, such as Blues on Broadbeach, Cooly Rocks On and Groundwater Country Music Festival, using insights, trends and audience engagement to deliver outstanding commercial outcomes.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and deliver social media strategies that drive ticket sales, attendance and engagement.
- Plan, schedule and manage engaging social content across multiple channels.
- Build and nurture online communities through proactive community management.
- Monitor campaign performance and optimise activity using data and insights.
- Identify real-time opportunities and social trends to maximise campaign impact.
- Collaborate with internal teams and creative partners to produce engaging content.
- Report on campaign performance and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, event partners and suppliers.
What You’ll Bring:
- 4+ years’ experience in a social media, marketing or communications role.
- Degree in Marketing, Business or a related discipline.
- Proven ability to create engaging social content that delivers commercial outcomes.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, analytics and digital marketing.
- Excellent copywriting, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns in a fast-paced environment.
- A creative mindset backed by strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for events, tourism, arts and creating memorable audience experiences.
