The Opportunity

We are seeking expressions of interest from qualified and highly experienced Emergency Services personnel local to Western Australia’s South West region (Boddington, Bunbury, Busselton and Collie). You’ll be a vital presence on the ground – responding to incidents, providing medical care and emergency response, running drills, and keeping people safe across mining operations.

About You

  • Local to WA’s South West (Boddington, Bunbury, Busselton and Collie)
  • Prior experience in mine site emergency response or related field
  • Background in emergency management, fire services, defence or similar
  • Strong knowledge of emergency response protocols and procedures
  • Strong medical knowledge in emergency response
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other emergency services agencies and stakeholders
  • Proactive & Solution focused
  • Physically fit and ready for the demands of the job

Essential Qualifications

  • Certificate IV Health Care or higher, completed or refreshed within 3 years
  • Certificate III Mines Rescue with HAZMAT (PUAFIR306), Vertical Rescue (PUASAR032) and Confined Space Rescue (PUASAR025)
  • Drive Vehicles Under Operational Conditions (PUAVEH001)
  • Fire Team Operations (RIIERR201E or similar)
  • Valid Car (C class) Manual Driving Licence
  • Respond to Wildfire (PUAFIR204) – Or Willing to Obtain
  • Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse Testing (HLTPAT005) – Or Willing to Obtain
  • Heavy Rigid (HR) Vehicle Licence – Or Willing to Obtain
