Emergency Services Officer (MESO) – Underground

Are you an experienced emergency response professional ready for your next challenge? ERS is seeking skilled Emergency Services Officer (MESO) personnel to join our team on an initial 3-month contract.

The Opportunity

• FIFO position based in the Eastern Goldfields region of Western Australia
• 8/6 Roster, Day Shift Only, Competitive rates of pay
• 3 Months+ Casual Contract – ongoing opportunities for the right candidate

You’ll play a vital role on our client’s site, covering a range of responsibilities from emergency preparedness to incident response, medical care, and emergency management.

About You

• Experience and qualifications in emergency response within underground mining, or a background in emergency management, fire services, defence, or a similar field
• FIFO experience highly desirable
• Strong working knowledge of emergency response protocols and procedures
• Medical capability in emergency response
• Excellent communication skills
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Physically fit and prepared for the operational demands of the role

Qualifications

• UGSR_BG4 Underground Search & Rescue Closed Circuit BA
• RII30719 – Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue, OR PUA30622 – Certificate III in Public Safety
• HLT41120 – Certificate IV in Health Care (or higher)
• HLTPAT005 or HLTPAT010 – Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse Testing
• Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver’s Licence, to operate site fire appliances
• HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid (current within 3 years)
• HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) (current within 12 months)
• National Police Clearance
• Australian Working Rights
• Dependent onsite or projects we may require additional licenses or qualifications
