Description

Payroll, HR and Operations Coordinator

Remote | Philippines | Full-time | Franquette Group (Australia)

Evollve HR Consulting is partnering with our client, Franquette Crêperie and Lucette Bistro — two restaurants located in Bowral, New South Wales — to find a Payroll, HR & Operations Coordinator based in the Philippines.

This remote, full-time role brings together payroll processing, visa sponsorship and apprenticeship compliance, and general operations support.

About the Group

“La bonne franquette” — a simple, friendly meal and an informal get-together. That’s the feeling behind our venues, and the feeling we want for whoever joins us in this role.

Franquette Group is home to Franquette Crêperie and Lucette Bistro, our newest French eatery in the Southern Highlands. With expansion planned for later this year, we’re looking for a Payroll, HR & Operations Coordinator to keep our people and payroll operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll (approx. 40%)

  • Process weekly payroll across the group (currently Tanda, transitioning to Employment Hero in September 2026)
  • Ensure accurate calculation of ordinary hours, overtime, penalty rates, allowances and leave entitlements under the Restaurant Industry Award
  • Reconcile rostering and time-and-attendance data (timesheets) against approved hours before processing
  • Process leave (annual, personal and other leave types) and manage termination payments (final pay calculations, ETPs) and system offboarding
  • Lodge Single Touch Payroll (STP) reports each pay run, process weekly superannuation contributions, and assist with payroll tax, workers compensation declarations and end-of-year finalisation
  • Respond to staff queries about pay, leave balances and entitlements professionally and promptly
  • Complete weekly and annualised reconciliations and payroll cost reporting

HR (approx. 20%)

  • Liaise with our registered migration agent on sponsored employee matters, tracking and maintaining compliance
  • Maintain a visa sponsorship tracker (visa expiry dates, nomination conditions, work rights re-checks) and flag upcoming actions
  • Coordinate document requests between staff, the business and the migration agent for new nominations or visa renewals
  • Coordinate apprenticeship documentation and records, including document requests and support

General Operations (approx. 40%)

  • Reporting:
  • Support general reporting — keeping venue managers on task with weekly reports, assisting with monthly and year-on-year reporting
  • Prepare and distribute executive-level reports
  • Prepare and distribute the weekly Reservations and Events Report
  • Marketing:
  • Respond to Google reviews
  • Update menu documents (Canva) and the website (Squarespace), including for special events
  • Manage Google Drive document filing and organisation
  • Manage monthly account invoicing as directed — tracking monthly spend and preparing invoices at month-end.
  • Provide general executive support to the Directors, assisting with ad hoc administrative and operational tasks as required

What You’ll Bring

Essential

  • 1–3 years’ payroll processing experience
  • Solid Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas)
  • Strong numeracy and an eye for detail
  • Able to manage competing deadlines and stay calm under pressure
  • Discreet and professional when handling confidential information
  • Clear written and verbal English communication skills

Highly Regarded

  • Experience within hospitality, retail or another multi-site environment
  • Hands-on experience with Employment Hero strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of the Restaurant Industry Award 2020 (or willingness to learn quickly)
  • Qualifications in accounting and bookkeeping, or progress toward a relevant qualification
  • Experience with visa sponsorship compliance and/or apprenticeship administration
  • Familiarity with Canva and Squarespace
