What’s the role?
Working independently, you’ll prepare and serve delicious home-style meals while ensuring the kitchen remains clean, organised and compliant with food safety standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing nutritious lunches and desserts
- Ensuring meals are presented to a high standard
- Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- Managing stock and minimising food waste
- Following food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements
- Building positive relationships with residents and contributing to a welcoming dining experience

Is this role right for you?
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about cooking and enjoys creating great dining experiences.
You’ll ideally have:
- Experience preparing meals in a commercial kitchen, café, hospitality or aged care environment
- A Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- A friendly, compassionate approach and great communication skills
- The ability to work independently and take pride in maintaining a clean and safe kitchen
A formal Chef qualification is not required. If you’re an experienced Cook with a passion for preparing quality home-style meals, we’d love to hear from you.
