Essence is looking for a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to join our Newcastle & Hunter team.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in the continued growth of our regional presence, while being supported by a high performing boutique national project management consultancy delivering projects across multiple sectors.
About the role
You will lead and support the delivery of projects from planning through to completion, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams to achieve outcomes across scope, cost, program, quality and risk.
Depending on your experience, the role may include leading your own projects, supporting larger or more complex commissions, managing client relationships, contributing to procurement and contract administration, and assisting with business growth across the Newcastle & Hunter market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support end-to-end project delivery
- Manage client, consultant and stakeholder relationships
- Oversee program, cost, risk, quality and reporting requirements
- Support procurement, tendering and contract administration processes
- Contribute to strong project governance and project controls
- Build trusted relationships across the local market
- Support the continued growth of Essence in Newcastle & the Hunter
About you
You will bring experience in project management, construction, property, development or consultancy, with the role tailored to suit your capability and level of experience. We are open to candidates from client-side project management, construction, development or consultancy backgrounds. You may be an established Project Manager looking for the next step, or a Senior Project Manager seeking a role with genuine influence, autonomy and growth opportunity.
You will have:
- Experience delivering projects in the built environment
- A strong understanding of project controls, including scope, cost, programme and risk
- Confidence working with clients, consultants, contractors and stakeholders
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build trusted relationships
