Engage Construction is an Eastern Suburbs based main contractor who deliver quality projects to a diverse range of industry sectors including commercial, residential, retail, hospitality and industrial. We’re looking for a Junior Site Manager with a Carpentry qualification or at least in their 3rd year of apprenticeship to join a live project in Wolloomooloo or Redfern.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage the successful delivery of commercial and residential construction projects from start to finish
• Assist in the development and preparation of detailed project briefs and project plans to ensure that project requirements and objectives are clearly set out and structured during project delivery
• Manage projects from site to ensure projects are completed on time, to the approved scope and quality requirements
• Program management, ensuring all project milestones are achieved and that any risks are identified and mitigated as early as possible
• Establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships to ensure high levels of engagement, communication and satisfaction
• Be on the tools as required

To be successful:

• You will be keen to develop in the team and have experience on site as a carpenter
• You have good communication skills and are happy to be client facing to build on stakeholder relationships and liaise with subbies
• You will be trade qualified or at least in your 3rd year carpentry apprenticeship
• You will have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle
• You will enjoy a variety of projects and pride yourself on the way you treat subbies
• You will have high level skills in reading plans and setting out
• A thirst for a challenge, energy and vision to want to succeed and grow within the business for the long term
