We are looking for a Coffee Trainer to join The Coffee Club in a newly created role that forms part of a broader investment in coffee capability across our national cafe network. This role is ideal for experienced baristas or coffee trainers, including those from specialty backgrounds, who want to apply their expertise at a scale that reaches millions of customers.

What is the role?
Reporting to the Head of Training, the Coffee Trainer is responsible for delivering and embedding The Coffee Club’s coffee training program across Queensland supporting both company‑owned and franchise cafés.
You’ll play a key role in executing our coffee strategy by:
- Delivering hands‑on barista training and in‑store coaching
- Building coffee capability and confidence across café teams
- Conducting in store coffee audits and maintaining equipment and brand standards
- Driving coffee initiatives and supporting the successful rollout of national programs
- Championing a strong, engaged coffee culture
- Creating memorable coffee experiences through cuppings, tastings, sensory sessions or competitions to build pride and connection
- Collaborating with Operations, Marketing, Food Safety and field leadership teams to achieve shared business objectives
You’ll plan and manage your training activity across the state, ensuring sessions are well‑communicated, well‑attended, and outcomes are tracked.
This is a fully remote, field-based role. While you will work with a high level of autonomy, you will be strongly supported by a collaborative network of field leaders and a highly engaged head office team.

- A sound understanding of coffee quality, equipment care and best practice maintenance
- The ability to create engaging coffee experiences, including cuppings, tastings, sensory sessions and competitions
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across Operations, Marketing, Food Safety and field leadership teams
- A passion for fostering a strong and engaged coffee culture
This role requires regular travel between cafés throughout Queensland. A current driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle are essential.
