We are based at 700 Harris Street, Ultimo and our suite of offerings include ICT courses for undergraduate and both ICT and business for postgraduate levels.  The portfolio will continue to grow in the coming years.

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Student Services Officer to be part of our team at the University of Tasmania (UTAS) campus in Ultimo. As a key member of the team, you will have the rewarding opportunity to progress your career within the education industry.  We are looking for someone who wants to grow with us and is self-motivated and an enthusiastic ‘go-getter’. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice to students and complete administrative tasks associated with the student life cycle
  • Support of student experience throughout the student lifecycle
  • Provide advice to students and complete administrative tasks associated with academic services
  • PRISMS reporting and updates
  • Support of campus compliance and student retention
  • Staff and student feedback and engagement
  • Student communications.

As the successful candidate you will ideally have:

  • Completion of a relevant degree, or completion of a degree with relevant work experience
  • Relevant work experience in a Student Services Officer or Student Support role
  • Knowledge of the ESOS Act and National Code of Practice, and specifically how it pertains to the delivery of support to international students
  • Demonstrated experience in communications Demonstrated experience in staff and student engagement
  • Strong team player, able to negotiate and influence outcomes with colleagues
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with students and staff from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
