We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our educational institution in Concord West, New South Wales. This part-time, permanent role is essential for providing nutritious and delicious meals to our students and staff, fostering a positive dining experience that supports our educational mission. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals, ensuring quality and presentation meet our standards.
• Plan menus in collaboration with the educational team, considering dietary requirements and preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Manage inventory and order supplies as needed, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
• Assist in training and supervising kitchen staff and volunteers.
• Monitor food storage and preparation areas to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
• Engage with students and staff to gather feedback on meals and make improvements where necessary.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in an educational or institutional setting.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate well with others.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
