About the Role

We are looking for a Full-Time Night Auditor to join our Front Office team at Dorsett Melbourne. 

This role is ideal for someone who is confident working overnight, enjoys providing excellent guest service, and has strong attention to detail. As a Night Auditor, you will be responsible for ensuring the hotel’s overnight operations run smoothly, completing the daily audit and reconciliation process, assisting guests throughout the night, and supporting the overall safety and security of the hotel. 

You will be part of our Front Office team and work closely with the Night Manager and other hotel departments to ensure accurate reporting, smooth daily system rollover, and a seamless handover to the morning team.  

• Complete the nightly audit process, reconciling all revenue and payments for the day 
• Prepare and distribute daily reports for management review  
• Ensure all Front Office and F&B transactions are posted and balanced before system rollover  
• Manage guest check-ins and check-outs during the night shift  
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, concerns, or emergencies  
• Monitor lobby and public areas for cleanliness and security throughout the night  
• Maintain hotel safety by following all established security and emergency procedures 
• Liaise with morning shift staff to ensure smooth handover  
• Create incident reports when required  
• Perform all Night Audit duties in accordance with established SOPs 
• Assist with valet operations if applicable, ensuring guest vehicle safety and accurate key handling  
• Train and support night staff in systems, procedures, and service standards  
• Update guest profiles in Opera and respond to guest feedback in Review Pro and OTA  
• Prepare and deliver guest amenities such as water, beverages, and other requested items to rooms in a timely and professional manner 
• Perform other duties as assigned by Night Manager and the hotel management team.  

What you’ll need to succeed

• Have amazing customer service skills or hospitality experience (hotel experience is a bonus, not a must)
• Experience with Opera Cloud PMS is highly desirable
• Are polished, personable, and calm under pressure
• Are comfortable engaging with guests in a professional, friendly manner
• Can work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Take pride in great service and attention to detail
• Have a genuine passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction
• Full working rights
• Hold or are willing to obtain RSA and Food Hygiene Certificate
• Full Driver’s License (is a bonus, not a must)
