Responsibilities

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our culinary team in a full-time position. Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will assist with food preparation, cooking, and presentation across our hotel outlets while developing your culinary skills in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

  • Assist with the preparation and cooking of food according to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Ensure dishes are prepared to a high standard and delivered efficiently during service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations.
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures.
  • Assist with stock rotation, storage, and inventory management.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Learn and develop culinary skills under the guidance of senior chefs.

About you

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or currently working towards it).
  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or hotel environment is highly regarded.
  • Passion for food and hospitality.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Full Australian work rights with flexibility to work across weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.
