Head of Design & Pre-Construction

As our business continues to grow, we’re seeking an exceptional Head of Design & Pre-Construction to lead our talented teams in Design, Engineering, Estimating, and Innovation. 

This is more than a management role. It’s an opportunity to influence strategy, drive innovation, build high-performing teams, and ensure every project begins with excellence. 

What You’ll Be Leading 

As the Head of Design & Pre-Construction, you’ll be responsible for the entire front-end project journey—from concept and design through estimating, engineering, innovation, and project handover. 

You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team (12 to 15 people) while ensuring every solution is: 

• Safe and compliant 
• Commercially sound 
• Practical and buildable 
• Delivered on time and within budget 
• Aligned with customer expectations 

You’ll own our DomeShelter Logic™ design methodology, continuously improve our systems and processes, and play a key role in shaping the future of our products. 

What You’ll Be Doing 

Lead High-Performing Teams 

Lead, mentor, and develop Design, Engineering, Estimating, and Innovation teams.  

Drive accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Drive Design Excellence 

Champion the DomeShelter Logic™ methodology.  

Deliver practical, compliant, and buildable designs while identifying risks early. 

Support Commercial Outcomes 

Ensure estimating accuracy, cost control, and healthy project margins.  

Support successful project handovers through sound commercial planning. 

Champion Innovation 

Lead product, process, and workflow improvements that enhance efficiency and customer value. 

Improve Processes 

Streamline Design & Pre-Construction systems and strengthen collaboration across Sales, Operations, and Manufacturing.
