Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Promote independence and empower clients to make choices in their daily lives.
- Support clients in accessing community resources and social activities.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in behaviour or health.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and organisational policies.
Qualifications:
- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification in disability support.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate and patient attitude towards individuals with disabilities.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification is an advantage.
- Understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is beneficial.
