About the Role:
As a Porter at Dorsett Gold Coast, you will be one of the first and last people our guests interact with, creating lasting impressions through warm, professional service. You’ll assist guests throughout their stay, ensuring every arrival and departure is seamless while providing exceptional service at every touchpoint.
A key part of this role is managing the hotel driveway, ensuring the safe and efficient flow of guest vehicles, taxis, rideshare services, and coaches. Working closely with the Front Office team, you’ll help maintain a welcoming arrival experience while delivering personalised service and responding promptly to guest requests.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional services.
- Assist guests with luggage on arrival and departure.
- Manage the hotel driveway and assist with guest vehicle movements.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and enquiries.
- Provide information about hotel facilities and local attractions.
- Assist with transportation bookings and other guest requests.
- Work collaboratively with the Front Office team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Maintain the presentation and cleanliness of the hotel entrance, lobby, and driveway areas.
What We Are Looking For:
- Previous experience in a porter, concierge, or guest-facing hospitality role is preferred, but most of all we’re looking for someone with an outstanding personality, a proactive attitude, and a genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences. We can teach the skills, we’re looking for the right person.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
