Derbarl Yerrigan Health Service is seeking a talented Content Editor to join our Communications Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled writer who is passionate about creating engaging content and sharing stories that highlight positive community impact.
About the Role
You will develop, write and edit content across a range of platforms, including publications, websites, newsletters, speeches and executive communications. Working closely with staff, clients and stakeholders, you will help bring Derbarl’s stories to life while ensuring a consistent and professional brand voice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Researching and developing compelling stories and community-focused content.
- Writing and editing content for digital and print channels.
- Copywriting for high-level organisational communications.
- Drafting speeches, media content and executive communications.
- Supporting the production of publications, including Annual Reports and newsletters.
- Managing and updating website content.
About You
You will have:
- Qualifications (or be working towards qualifications) in journalism, communications, marketing or a related field.
- Strong copywriting, editing and proofreading skills.
- Experience creating engaging content for multiple audiences and platforms.
- Knowledge of web content management systems.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- An understanding of, or genuine interest in, Aboriginal culture, stories and lived experiences.
Desirable:
- 2-3 years’ experience in a copywriting, communications or content role.
- Experience working within the health sector.
- Skills in Adobe InDesign and Creative Suite applications.
