Communications Officer

 About the Role:

Cyrenian House is excited to announce the newly created position of Communications Officer. Reporting to the General Manager, Strategy and Governance, the position will provide content development and coordination of internal and external organisation communications and events. 

The position is based at our Corporate Office located on Fitzgerald Street, Perth, and is offered as a part-time role working 38 hours per fortnight (days to be negotiated).  Salary level 4: $96,295 – $102,346 per annum pro rata.

Cyrenian House is a leading not-for-profit non-government organisation that has been operating within the alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatment sector since 1981. Cyrenian House provides a wide range of high-quality treatment services that make a positive and meaningful difference in the lives of people affected by alcohol and other drugs.  

To be appointed / successful in this position, you will require the following key qualifications, skills and experience:

• Relevant graduate and post graduate qualifications
• High level of written and visual communication skills
• High level interpersonal, collaboration and coordination skills
• Excellent time management and personal organisation skills
• Experience in developing and publishing written and visual material on online platforms
• Demonstrated ability to develop content using tools such as Canva, Inkscape, Adobe, or InDesign
• Experience with website and social media platform management, including WordPress, Meta Business Suite and content calendars
• A commitment to strive for organisational excellence and an ability to work in a way that displays honesty, integrity and a strong commitment to ethical practice.
• Full work rights, National Police Clearance, First Aid Certificate and full Driver’s Licence.
