Clinical Coordinator – Rick Hammersley Therapeutic Community (RHTC)

An opportunity exists for a Clinical Coordinator with leadership experience to support and lead one of WA’s leading residential alcohol and drug treatment services

  

About the Role:

The role of Clinical Coordinator will ensure the effective running of the Therapeutic Community (TC) Program within the residential setting at Rick Hammersley TC. Working closely with the Service Manager, you will deliver evidence-based, best practice residential treatment service to residents of the program whilst meeting outcomes and funding performance indicators.

 

The Clinical Coordinator is also required to work in the context of a TC, facilitating the Community as Method (CAM) treatment approach and provide leadership and support to the team. The role will also contribute to the ongoing development of our organisation.

 

The role is a maximum-term contract until November 2027 (covering maternity leave), working Full-time hours (76 PFN).

 

Position is level 6/7 $118,505 -$130,695 per annum (depending on experience) plus superannuation.

To be appointed / successful in this role, you will require the following key qualifications, skills, and experience:

 

  • Degree in a relevant field such as Social, Behavioural Education, or Health Sciences.
  • Demonstrated and well-developed skills and experience in the provision of assessment, counselling, therapeutic approaches, and treatment planning for people with AOD related issues.
  • Have an excellent understanding of the complex range of issues related to substance misuse.
  • Have Experience in designing, delivering and evaluating educational groups.
  • Possess experience working within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Previous experience working with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Have a sound understanding of the Community as Method treatment approach.
  • Have demonstrated problem-solving skills and mediation skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience in report writing.
  • Full work rights, satisfactory police clearance, current First Aid Certificate, and Driver’s Licence.

Desirable competencies and experience:

  • Experience working within a Therapeutic Community.
