CLINICAL COORDINATOR – MIDLAND WITHDRAWAL AND INTERVENTION CENTRE

An opportunity exists for a Clinical Coordinator with leadership experience to support and lead one of WA’s leading residential alcohol and drug treatment services 

 

About the Role:

The Clinical Coordinator works in collaboration with the MWIC Manager to support an ethos of

consumer engagement, reflective and innovative practice.

 

The Clinical Coordinator is required to work in the context of a low medical withdrawal unit

facilitating the management of withdrawal treatment and referrals and providing leadership

and support to the MWIC team.

 

This position is offered as a maximum-term contract until November 2027. The position is level 6/7 $118,505 – $130,695 per annum (depending on experience) plus superannuation.

To be appointed / successful in this role, you will require the following key qualifications, skills and experience:

  • A degree in Social, Behavioural Education, or Health Sciences.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing teams and leading a supportive, collaborative work environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with complex, coerced, and comorbid AOD treatment populations.
  • Strong counselling, group work, and therapeutic intervention skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of substance use and current issues.
  • Experience working within a culturally secure framework, with a focus on Aboriginal residents and staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement policies and procedures.
  • Proficient organisational and time management skills, ensuring reliable and punctual service delivery.
  • Familiarity with administrative tasks, including maintaining clinical files, working with databases, and reporting obligations.

Desirable:

  • Experience working within a low medical withdrawal setting.
