CLEANERS WANTED

Crown Property Services are seeking cleaners to support our cleaning operations within a correctional facility in Ararat, Victoria. This is ideal for people seeking a sea change and the opportunity to work in a professional and rewarding environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a cleaning team member, you will be maintaining a clean, hygienic, and safe environment within a secure facility. You will be inducted, trained and mentored to succeed.  You will need to have good knowledge of general cleaning processes and safe ways of working.  You will have a desire to learn and develop your skills.

Key responsibilities:

• General cleaning duties, ensuring high standards are consistently met.
• Bio cleaning and vacate cleaning.
• Support the team in achieving daily deadlines as they arise, beyond the regular cleaning schedule.
• Able to take and understand instructions from our site supervisor without prejudice.
• Flexible to accept additional shifts, as and when required.
• Inspect your own work to ensure cleanliness, hygiene and workplace safety.
• Understand and comply with all Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) Protocols and Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) requirements.
• Good attitude, respectful and professional in the workplace.
• Maintain accurate job specific records, incidents, and maintenance reporting.

ABOUT YOU

• Demonstrated experience in a commercial cleaning.
• Good communication and time management.
• Good working knowledge of cleaning protocols, chemical safety and infection control.
• Knowledge of infection control and waste disposal processes.
• Ability to work autonomously in a structured and compliant environment.
• Physically fit with the ability to carry out manual tasks.
• ·Able to read instructions report incidents or maintenance needs clearly and accurately.
• Must be comfortable working in a secure, high-surveillance environment.

Mandatory Requirements:

• National Police Check (current or willing to obtain)
• Must pass the Precinct’s Security Clearance and Background Check
• Current driver’s licence.
• Work rights in Australia.
