Commercial Analyst

About the Role

Reporting into the leadership team, you’ll partner closely with Sales, Operations, Customer Service and Finance to provide meaningful analysis, commercial insights and reporting that support business growth.

You’ll be responsible for analysing pricing, profitability, freight costs, customer performance and operational trends while ensuring the integrity and accuracy of critical business data.

No two days will be the same. One day you may be reviewing customer profitability and identifying margin improvement opportunities, while the next you’ll be building dashboards, supporting tender submissions or investigating service performance trends.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse pricing, profitability and operational performance to identify opportunities for margin growth and business improvement.
• Develop dashboards, reports and insights that support strategic decision-making across the business.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, Finance and Customer Service to drive commercial outcomes and improve customer performance.
• Support pricing reviews, tenders and commercial initiatives through accurate data analysis and recommendations.
• Ensure data integrity while identifying opportunities to improve reporting, automation and business efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience as a Commercial Analyst, Pricing Analyst, Business Analyst or similar role
• Experience within transport, logistics, freight, supply chain or 3PL environments
• Strong understanding of pricing, margins, profitability and commercial performance
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets
• Strong SQL querying and data analysis capability
• Experience with Power BI, Zoho Analytics or similar reporting platforms
• Experience using TMS, WMS or freight management systems
• Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Relevant qualifications in Business, Commerce, Finance, Data Analytics, Logistics or Supply Chain
