The Role
Cricket Victoria is seeking a highly organised and proactive Match Operations Officer to join our team. This is a full-time, seasonal fixed-term role expected to commence in mid-September 2026 and run through to 31 March 2027.
Working across our elite cricket programs, you will plan, coordinate and deliver end-to-end match operations and cricket services for domestic and international fixtures. You’ll ensure every match is delivered professionally, safely and in line with Cricket Australia and Cricket Victoria requirements – from pre-match planning and venue readiness through to match-day coordination and post-match reporting.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, can calmly manage competing priorities and takes pride in getting the detail right.
What You’ll Be Doing
Cricket Operations
- Coordinate event briefs, catering, suppliers, venues, equipment and infrastructure for domestic fixtures.
- Work with venue contacts and Cricket Australia to ensure match requirements, venue standards and international fixture plans are delivered.
- Support the rostering of match-day personnel, including scorers, room attendants and match managers.
- Coordinate game-day medical coverage in line with Cricket Australia requirements.
- Manage team submissions through PlayHQ and ensure all match equipment, documentation and venue signage are ready for each fixture.
- Assist with planning and logistics for Emerging Player and Cricket Performance programs as required.
Match Day Operations
- Conduct venue inspections and oversee match-day readiness, including equipment, changerooms, dugouts and medical briefings.
- Coordinate match-day communications, team lists, coin toss procedures and required documentation.
- Work closely with Match Officials, the Match Referee and Event Manager to support delivery in line with Playing Conditions and Cricket Australia policies.
- Manage weather-related procedures, DLS operations and other match-day issues as required.
- Ensure scorecards, match reports and associated documentation are completed and uploaded accurately.
