About the role

We’re looking for an experienced and commercially minded Events Sales Manager to join MicDrop Events on a 12-month parental leave contract.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of the end-to-end sales journey across our premium Melbourne event and meeting venues, transforming enquiries into confirmed bookings, driving sales performance and creating exceptional client experiences from first contact through to handover. You’ll manage a pipeline of opportunities, conduct venue tours, prepare proposals, build lasting client relationships, and work closely with our Operations, Customer Service and Marketing teams to drive revenue growth.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive sales professional who enjoys building relationships, converting enquiries into successful events and working in a fast-paced hospitality and events environment.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and execute end-to-end sales processes, from enquiry qualification and quote preparation, through to conversion and relationship management.
  • Maintain and manage the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate tracking of activity, opportunities and booking documentation across core systems.
  • Apply pricing structures and negotiate terms to maximise revenue while ensuring appropriate approvals and documentation..
  • Collaborate with Operations, Customer Service, Marketing and other internal teams to support seamless event delivery and business growth. Conduct venue tours and presentations for prospective clients and professionally represent MicDrop in all client interactions.
  • Build and maintain strong industry and client relationships to drive repeat business and identify new opportunities.
  • Provide regular sales reporting, monitor pipeline performance and make recommendations for growth.

What we’re looking for

  • 3-5 years’ experience in sales, business development, account management, events, hospitality or a related client-facing role.
  • Proven experience managing sales pipelines, client relationships and conversion activities.
  • Experience preparing proposals, quotations and commercial agreements.
  • Strong negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using CRM, booking or sales management systems.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience within events, hospitality, venue management or service-based industries will be highly regarded.
  • Prior experience using Tripleseat Software will be highly regarded
