The role

CCSG Group is seeking a commercially minded Head of Risk & Compliance to lead our enterprise risk, compliance and governance function. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you’ll play a key role in protecting the business while enabling sustainable growth across our regulated operations.

Responsibilities

Here’s an example of your day to day:

  • Partnering with the Executive Leadership Team to provide practical risk and compliance advice on key business decisions.
  • Leading the organisation’s enterprise risk framework, ensuring risks are identified, managed and reported effectively.
  • Monitoring changes to legislation and industry regulations, helping the business stay ahead of its compliance obligations.
  • Working with operational leaders to strengthen governance, improve controls and embed a positive risk culture.
  • Overseeing compliance monitoring, audits and investigations, while driving meaningful improvements from the findings.
  • Managing relationships with regulators and responding to regulatory enquiries, audits and reviews.
  • Leading privacy, breach and incident management, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and lessons are embedded across the business.
  • Coaching and developing the Quality & Compliance team while building capability across the wider organisation through training and guidance.
  • Contributing to strategic projects, providing risk and compliance input from concept through to implementation.

Requirements

Culture fit is key and we value both experience and qualities such as:

  • 7-10 years experience in Risk & Compliance within banking, financial services, insurance or another highly regulated industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a senior/head of function role.
  • Professional certifications in the risk and compliance field are highly regarded.
  • Strong working knowledge of NCCP, GICOP, ASIC Debt Collection Guidelines, NECF, TCP and the Privacy Act.
  • Experience designing, leading and implementing enterprise risk frameworks.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and executive influencing skills.
  • A pragmatic, solutions focused approach with strong commercial awareness.
