About us
CPAP Direct is a retail and clinical leader in the sleep apnoea industry across Australia. We have 20 retail stores and a large e-commerce business and are the ‘go-to’ destination for people to research, be diagnosed and treated successfully for sleep-related conditions.
We have an exciting Full-Time opportunity for a motivated Retail Sales Assistant / Sleep Health Clinician to join our friendly Bendigo team.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm, with alternating Saturdays, 9:00am – 12:00pm. For every 2 Saturdays worked, you will receive 1 Monday RDO.
Come and be part of a dynamic and friendly workplace delivering outstanding customer and patient care!
What you will be doing – Full and comprehensive training is provided!
Whilst existing expertise is an advantage, it is not essential for the role. If you have a great attitude and personality, with strong experience in client-focused retail, customer service and sales, we will teach you what you need to know about the sleep and CPAP therapy industry.
Using your strong interpersonal and sales skills, you get a buzz out of enhancing the lives of your customers and making them feel alive again. You easily connect and communicate with people in a natural way. You’re a powerful listener, curious about people, and have a ‘can-do’ approach to finding solutions to people’s needs.
You’ll feel right at home if a positive, supportive environment is where you’re able to do your best work. We believe it’s crucial to provide five-star service to our customers at every interaction, whether via phone, email or in person.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Home sleep test setups
- Assisting customers with CPAP purchases – machines, masks, accessories etc.
- Troubleshooting issues with CPAP equipment
- Building rapport and effective relationships with customers
- Patient education and advice on sleep health
- POS use
- Basic reporting, general administration and cleaning duties as required
- Customer service and after-sales service
- Professional relationship building within the sleep health industry
Here are a few things we think will make you ideal for this role:
- Pharmacy, CPAP, Optometry, Audiology or other healthcare retail experience is preferred, but not essential. Attitude is more important – we are happy and willing to train the right person.
- Previous experience in a busy, multi-tasking retail or customer service role
- A strong customer service focus, with empathy, compassion and a drive to deliver the best patient-centric outcomes
- Thrive under pressure and work well independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, with the capacity to respond quickly to the needs of our customers
- A quick learner with initiative and tenacity
- Enthusiasm, positivity and a genuine work ethic to ‘get things done’
- Proven integrity, professionalism and discretion – you’ll be comfortable with sensitive information and will do the right thing, even when no-one’s watching
We genuinely value diversity – of perspectives, approaches and lived experiences. We also know that not everyone’s super confident when they apply for roles. So if you’re feeling unsure about any of the above, or just want to have a conversation, email us at people@cpap.com.au and we’ll be in touch.

Here are 3 reasons why we hope you’ll love working for us:
Find a culture of kindness and respect. We really care – about our work and our people. We don’t just provide our patients with friendly and compassionate care, you will feel it too.
Do work that matters and feel valued for your contribution. We provide a patient-focused service. We ‘see’ them when they walk in the door. The experience for them is personal and, as such, you will enjoy meaningful interactions.
Enjoy varied work and grow as you go. You’ll jump in and out of many different tasks and challenges, and our whole team will support you to achieve whatever comes your way.
And here are 3 reasons why we’re afraid you might not:
- We rarely do ridiculous hours, but we do work really hard every day – we rarely sit still!
- CPAP Direct is really good at trust and integrity. We’re not so good at micromanagement. If you find it hard to work without pressure or ongoing direction, we’re definitely not the best choice for you.
- We value change. We are growing, and we understand that change is part of growth.
If you think we could be a good fit for each other, we’d love to hear from you! Please send us your resume via SEEK.
